Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. She studied boxing, kickboxing as well as wrestling, before making her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. Ladd built on this victory and began a 3 fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round in all the fights. After that, she went to WCFC to win again, beating Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo before facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia was able to hand Aspen the win in a single-handed manner and was able to outclass her, tarnishing Ladd's amateur career. Ladd bounced back from defeat by defeating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen started her professional career in 2015after signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. At InvictaFC 11, she had her very first professional fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing the 1st-round TKO. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and prevailed via armbar submission in the 2nd round. Aspen employed her impressive wrestler skills to knock down McGill and ended her fight via third-round TKO(elbows or punches). Aspen was then up against Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) in an "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd was unable to put on the weight. Aspen, however, defeated Hoy through TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks was a unanimous winner. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round in the 2nd. She maintained her dominance as she picked up an even bigger victory against Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd took on Evinger by a punch in the opening round, and earned a performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee match with Eubanks' Sijara was the first match she had in any major way. Both fighters fought one of the most competitive fights that Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. Both fighters were awarded an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her losing streak. Yana Knitskaya, in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, lost to Randamie. In a match that was a replacement to UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The fight ended in a unanimous verdict.
